Passionate about improving social mobility in the legal profession, Victoria sets the strategic direction of the charity to ensure the maximum impact on the students it works with. Outside of BVL, Victoria is solicitor at Schillings International LLP, specialising in privacy law and reputation management.
Asma has completed her LPC at BPP University and is currently involved in legal research. She obtained her LLB from the University of Kent in 2015 and her LLM in Media Law at Queen Mary, University of London in 2016. As Vice Chair, she hopes to motivate the students and help them realise their potential in their pursuit of a career in Law.
Adrianna began her training contract in 2021. Having moved to the UK to pursue her legal studies she has faced challenges, exposure to which has developed her passion for improving social mobility. Now as a professional working in law, she is committed to helping and motivating young people to pursue a legal career in her capacity as Senior Coordinator at BVL.
Steven read law at Oxford and taught law at Cambridge. He is now a Barrister at Radcliffe Chambers. Steven has a passion for improving diversity in the legal profession and alongside his work with BVL, he also mentors students at Gray's Inn and the Social Mobility Foundation.
Daveena is the Head of Case Management at the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. Prior to this, she was a Senior Social Services lawyer. Daveena is passionate about improving opportunity for young people from diverse backgrounds and firmly supports BVL's commitment to engage young people in the legal and democratic process.
Chaya is a solicitor specialising in Banking and Finance in Clyde & Co's Dubai office. Alongside her work as a solicitor, Chaya is keen to give back to the industry in as a board member for BVL. Born in India, she grew up in Dubai before moving to London. Having completed her LLB at Queen Mary, University of London, she pursued an LLM in International Business Law at LSE.
Alongside his work with BVL, Nim is the Chair and Founder of Nakuru Environmental and Cultural Trust (NECT) a charity working to promote heritage awareness among Kenyan youth in Diaspora and supporting A Field Study Centre in Kenya working with subsistence farmers towards food security. Nim is passionate about social justice, youth empowerment and positive youth identity as global citizens and the is a good platform BVL for these kinds of dialogue.
