Music and Entertainment Law Taster Evening

Overview:

We are delighted that PRS for Music and Simkins LLP have partnered with BVL for an event, designed to give our students a chance to learn about the fascinating field of music and entertainment law.

​

The event will take place on 11 October 2021, between 6:00-8:00pm via Zoom. Participants at the event will enjoy the following packed schedule:​

​

• A workshop on copyright law with Nick Eziefula (Partner at Simkins LLP)

• Talks from Amy Urpi (Head of Legal at PRS for Music), Jess Welch (Associate at Simkins LLP) and Jonathan Aitken (General Counsel at PRS for Music)

• Speed networking sessions with the lawyers, where you will get to ask them questions about their careers and how to get into music and entertainment law

The only eligibility requirements we have are that you will be 16 years or over at the time of the project and that you are studying for or have recently studied for your A-Levels (or equivalent) at a non-fee paying school. All of our projects are free of charge for all students.
